Today...

I sewed on pointe shoe ribbons. I've sewn a lot of them in my 12 years of ballet, and it's become as easy as pie. 6 minutes a shoe. Done in 12 minutes.
These were my first pointe shoes, in all their worn-out glory. They look so tiny now.

You've kept them all???? How sweet! Have you looked around for ideas on making keepsakes out of your old shoes?

Yep! They all have a unique story... one was the pair I wore for my Oregon Ballet Theater audition, one was for my first solo, one was for opening night as the Sugar Plum Fairy :)

I have seen some fun things with pointe shoes, but never done them. A friend of mine used to paint hers, but I've never really had a talent for painting. If you ever see anything, let me know!

Ive been on pointe for 3 year now.. haha But im only on my secound pair. I dont do ballet lessons but once a week. So that must be the reason.

Yes, that's often the case. But it definitely more economical to go through shoes slower!
